| Run 4 the Greenway Sign up now for the Run 4 the Greenway with choices of an 8K and a 1-mile walk/run on Saturday, September 11. There will be music, entertainment, food and beverage for all at Greensboro’s Center City Park. Proceeds go to the Maintenance Endowment for the Downtown Greenway. The 1 Mile Walk/Run will begin at 5 p.m., and the 8K at 5:30 p.m. The nearly five-mile course will feature an urban loop following the Downtown Greenway detour route and through the first constructed phase of the Greenway. | Music at the Mansion Celebrate the heritage of music on the grounds of historic Blandwood Mansion. The entire family will enjoy great food and tunes. Blankets and chairs are encouraged for sitting on the back lawn. Food, beer, wine, drinks and treats will be available for purchase on site. Limited walk-thru tours of Blandwood Mansion will be available. Dogs on leashes are allowed. 100% of proceeds from this special event go to Preservation Greensboro Incorporated, the Gate City's city-wide voice for historic and architectural treasures. | First Friday First Friday is an exciting evening escape in the heart of Greensboro. Join in First Friday of each month in 2010 for a fun-filled exploration of Greensboro’s creative Downtown. Enjoy a self-guided tour of local art galleries and studios, retail shops, and alternative arts venues will host special events, demonstrations and give visitors an opportunity to meet featured artists. | 25th Annual Carolina Blues Festival The longest-running festival in the Southeast marks its silver anniversary with a day of national, regional and local blues artists.
