Antique & Arts Festival:  Downtown Greensboro Inc.  sponsors 7th Annual Antique & Art Festival on May 20th  from 10am to 4pm. Downtown antique shops and artisans will showcase what makes them unique. Additional antique dealers and artists have been invited to participate.

 

PHOTO CONTEST:  Downtown Greensboro Inc. is sponsoring “Your Downtown In Focus”. Participants have a chance to win up to $1000. To find out how to enter your photographs go to www.downtowngreensboro.net.  Deadline for registration and entry is May 15th at 5:00 pm.

 

NC Storytelling Festival:  This is not for children ONLY, if you enjoy storytellers like Garrison Keillor, Andy Griffith and Bill Cosby, you will love this festival. The event will take place on May 13th from 10am-5pm in various locations downtown.

 

WiFi Launch:  synerG launched Wi-Fi on April 21st with wireless communication available on Elm Street from February One to McGee Streets.

 

Thai Pan: Downtown’s newest restaurant opened April 30th featuring authentic Thai cuisine located in the heart of downtown at 217 S. Elm Street. Owner, Pan Chatley has brought three 4-star chefs from Bangkok.

 

Flying Anvil:  Downtown’s newest live music and entertainment venue brings headliner bands to Greensboro-downtown.  Located at 219 E. Lewis Street. Grand opening celebration on May 11th featuring The Rosebuds. Read More

 

SterlingSouth:  Opens new office at 112 N. Elm Street.

 

Rum Runners: Dual piano restaurant and bar anticipated to open in May on the main floor of the Kress Terrace at 212 S. Elm Street. 

 

Inferno: Nightclub/bar featuring 70’s theme to open late May at the Kress Terrace, 212 S. Elm Street lower level.
