Elm and McGee Streets between 6pm and 11pm with local and national entertainment beginning at 7pm.  From 7pm until 2am, downtown restaurants, bars and some retail shops will offer extended hours and special promotions for event attendees during Downtown After Dark.

The second slot in the Get Down!Town line-up belongs to funk and soul group, The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker.  Front man, Charles Walker reaches his career peak spiritually as he has settled into his lead role with eight-man group, The Dynamites, after a string of other quality records and musical relationships including Charles & the Sidewinder. Find out more about The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker and hear the gritty and pure R&B style on their album, Kaboom, at www.myspace.com/thedynamitesband.

The third musical act of the evening is Rusted Root, a rock band with a Woodstock sound who released their debut album 15 years ago in 1992 entitled Cruel Sun.  The original band formed in Pittsburgh was a big hit with club goers, but its unique, polyrhythmic style scored them tours with legends like Santana, The Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band and The Allman Brothers.  Over the years, the band has crossed over into TV and the big screen writing tracks for films including Twister; Mathilda; Home for the Holidays; Homicide; and Ice Age and for the TV show, Party of Five.  After six album releases and 3 million albums sold, the band continues to tour averaging 125 shows a year.  Find out more about Rusted Root  www.rustedroot.com.
