Save the Date, DGI’s Report to the Community is scheduled for Thursday, September 20, 2007 at The Empire Room at 8:30am. Property and business owners are to look for upcoming postcard invitation in the mail. Special guest and keynote speaker is Mr. Troy Russ principal and senior urban designer with Orlando based Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Inc.

 

Downtown WELCOMES the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) Championship High School World Series to Greensboro and invites you to visit our downtown!  Tournament runs 7-25 to 7-29. NABF 

 

48 Hour Film Festival, Filmmakers from all over the Greensboro area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. Competition starts August 3. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title Best 48 Hour Film of 2007. Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  www.48hourfilm.com

Fridays By the Fountain every Friday thru October 19th at Center City Park.  This Friday, July 27 features Bojangles and 93.1 The Wolf with musical entertainment provided by The Villagers.

 

First Fridays and Art Stop in conjunction with Friday Art Stop where many downtown retailers and galleries extend their hours until 9pm on the first Friday of the month. This is an open house opportunity to meet artists and merchants and experience goods and services unique to Greensboro while enjoying a pleasant stroll through downtown.  Look for special shopping offers, refreshments and live entertainment.
