Need your help!

The Fun Fourth Festival is in its 32nd year of providing a free Independence Day Celebration to the citizens of Greensboro.  Through activities such as –  The Freedom Run & Walk, Independence Day Parade, Heritage Day at Blandwood Mansion, The Fun Fourth Street Festival, The Block Party and Fireworks—there are opportunities for all to celebrate and enjoy the Fourth of July.   The Fun Fourth Festival is produced by Grassroots Productions Limited and could not be produced without the assistance of thousands of volunteer hours.  Under the supervision of the professional staff at GPL, the Fun Fourth volunteers coordinate and staff – the Road Races, Beer Gardens, souvenir tents, informational tents, ticket sales, accounting, children’s area, international village, food vendors, arts & craft vendors, volunteer hospitality and many other aspects of the Fun Fourth Festival.  While many of the volunteer opportunities are outdoor jobs, there are several indoor jobs available also.    We need volunteers in the following areas:               Saturday, July 1st – Freedom Run & Walk              Registration – 6am – 8:30am              Water Stop Assistants – 7:15am – 10:00am              Split Timers – 7:15am – 10:00am              Hospitality & Coke Wagon – 7:30am – 11:00am              Children’s Race Assistant:  8:00am –10:00am               Sunday, July 2nd – Heritage Day @ Blandwood              Coke Sales:  Several Shifts from 12noon to 6:00pm              ID Check:  Several Shifts from 12:30pm to 6:00pm                                     Monday, July 3rd – Block Party              oke Sales – Several Shifts from 7:00pm to 1:00am              ID Check – Several Shifts from 7:00pm to 12:00 midnight              Beer Line – Several Shifts from 7:00pm to 12:00 midnight              Ticket Seller – Several Shifts from 7pm to 12 midnight               Tuesday, July 4th – Street Festival & Fireworks                 All areas, Several Shifts from 6am – 10pm                                Children’s Area                Souvenir Sales                Beer Line                Ticket Sellers                ID Check                Information Booth                Coke & Ice Delivery                Ticket Counters                Fireworks Usher   If you are interested in volunteering please call Grassroots Productions Limited at 274.4595 or email funfourth@bellsouth.net.   www.aroundthepiedmonttriad.com/gsofestivals
