Center City Park is pleased to announce that beginning May 4th there will be two new series of events with free entertainment in the Park.
Fridays by the Fountain Every Friday from May 4 thru Oct 19 11:45am to 1:15pm   A weekly lunchtime series will be held every Friday with entertainment from 11:45 to 1:15 pm. The lunchtime series is aimed towards all downtown business workers and encouraging them to step out of the office, pick up lunch and come to the park to cool off by the fountain.  Entertainment provided by local groups will include everything from Bluegrass, Jazz, Classical, and Hip Hop.	Sunday in the Park Fourth Sunday of the month from May 27 thru Oct 28 2:00pm to 5:00pm   A free afternoon of family summertime fun and entertainment!  Bring your kids, your dogs, family, friends, and come out to the park and enjoy music, games and entertainment for all ages.

ROAD CONTRUCTION ALERT
The City of Greensboro Department of Transportation (GDOT) would like to inform you of the following:   W. Market Street from Eugene Street to Elm Street in downtown Greensboro update. Bellsouth has completed underground repair work at the intersection and final asphalt repair will take place Monday, May 7th, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  During this time, West Market Street will be reduced to one thru lane and a right turn lane onto Greene Street.  Southbound Greene Street will also be reduced to one shared thru and left lane until completion.  Motorists are asked to use caution in this area and obey posted signs.  In the case of inclement weather, this work may be rescheduled.   Motorists are asked to use caution in this area and obey posted signs.   For active permits and lane closures click here.
