NEW!  First Fridays to start this Friday, April 6 will consist of First Friday Art Stop and First Friday’s of many downtown retailers and restaurants extending hours until 9:00 pm on the first Friday of the month for spring and summer.  First Fridays is an open house opportunity to meet artists and merchants and experience goods and services unique to Greensboro while enjoying a pleasant stroll through downtown.  First Fridays includes special shopping offers, refreshments and live entertainment.

Center City Live!  A week full of celebrations to start April 14 thru April 20, summary is as follows:

 

·      Saturday, Junior League’s Passport to Center City Live! Attendees will travel through the fun and games of the day and enjoy activities and entertainment throughout.  11:00am to 4:00pm.

 

·      Sunday, Concert in the park with Allison King band. Open house with Center City Park artists and landscape architects.  Meet the designer of park Bob Uhlig from Halvorson Design Partnership along with a special public art announcement.  4:00pm to 7:30pm

 

·      Monday – HEAR  Greensboro, sponsored by the Arbor House Condominiums. Steel Drums, Beautiful Experience (R&B/Top 40 covers), The Mantras (Blues fusion), Guilty Pleasures (UK influenced rock), Steel Drums. 11:00am to 1:30pm

 

·      Tuesday, SEE Greensboro - local artists demonstrations, Team Lump will do an on site performance mural painting piece. 11:00am to 1:30pm

 

·      Wednesday, PERFORM Greensboro -  theatrical and comedic sketches to include City Arts Drama, Triad Stage, The Idiot Box, Greensboro College, Community Theatre of Greensboro, UNCG Theatre, preview of Jack and the Wonder Beans. 11:00am to 1:30pm

 

·      Thursday,  ACTIVE Greensboro - Community Health Foundation’s health screenings and prevention demonstrations staged demonstrations to include belly dancing with SoulFlowers Studio, Fencing with the YWCA, Hula hoop/dance demo with Patika Starr, Zumba Fitness Dance, Capoeira (Brazillian Martial Arts) & Sales. 11:00am to 1:30pm

 

·      Friday, OPPORTUNITY Greensboro – supported by Dell, Inc., make connections with Greensboro’s young professionals and college students. Live music with Traveling Mayhem, free lunches for students, and giveaways include a Dell Computer made right here in the Triad! 11:00am to 1:30pm.
