| Downtown Developer’s son JOHN ISNER to play Mardy Fish (third ranked American) at the Greensboro Coliseum, December 7, 7:30pm. John Isner is joining the ranks of Joey Cheek and Chris Daughtry with getting “national” exposure in his rookie year of professional tennis. Award winning downtown developer of Southside Neighborhood, Bob and Karen Isner’s son John, is to make his first local performance since going pro. Tennis hasn’t been to coliseum in over a decade. In case you missed this summer on TV; 22-year old Isner came out of, what some say nowhere, and made a big notice to reach the finals at the Legg Mason in just his second ATP event. He lost to no. 1 seed Andy Roddick in the final US Open but won five straight third set tiebreaks to get the match! He recently played Federrer (no. 1 ranked player in the world) in the US OPEN.
