Center City Park Mark your calendar, Action Greensboro invites YOU to the opening of Center City Park December 1, 2006. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be free hot dogs and other attractions from 11:30am-1pm. Stop by to marvel at downtown Greensboro’s heart space of the city. Note park’s progress:

 

·      The grass is taking root and greening;

·      Early bird bench (see end of page);

·      Pavilion with purpleheart wood;

·      Fountain testing of Libation urn by artist Jim Cooper, Lyndon St. Artworks;

·      Benches are assembled;

·      Local art pieces throughout;

·      Plants in beds, approximately 150 different types plants in park.

 

Undercurrent is OPEN on November 1 at new location downtown at 327 Battleground Avenue near First Horizon Park and high rise business district.  See link to map it.

First Friday’s Art Stop: You’ll find a treasure of artwork this Friday at First Friday’s Art Stop from 6-9pm. Tour eight galleries and enjoy refreshments, see special exhibits, meet the artists, hear live music, and watch artist demonstrations.

 

Start your Christmas shopping and get one of a kind unique handmade gifts starting from $5-10 and up to custom made items.

The Greensboro Jaycees are having a clothing sale for the remaining stock of Chrysler Classic clothing Thu-Fri, November 2 & 3.
