Festive Fridays, sponsored by Downtown Greensboro Inc. begins along with Festival of Lights on November 30 and December 7 & 14 from 6-9pm. Enjoy illuminated streets, strolling carolers, Santa, Belgium horse-drawn wagonettes (12/14 only), free gift wrapping and hot cider. CTG Annual Production of the Wizard of Oz (11/10 thru 11/18): The Triad kicks off the holiday season each year with CTG’s timeless tale of Dorothy and her adventure “Over the Rainbow.” The cast changes and special effects are enhanced, but the love affair between our audience members – young and old alike – and this enchanting production never fades! Triad Stage (11/23 thru 12/23): Opens the holiday season with Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity by Preston Lane, with original music by Laurelyn Dossett, presents the Christmas story come to life in an Appalachian setting.
