Downtown Greensboro Inc. is very excited for the 2007 New Year. There’s plenty of great things to enjoy downtown such as the newly completed signature Center City Park, Hoppers games, Tournament Town, NCAA Downtown Street Festival, Antiques & Art on Elm, NC Storytelling Festival, EMF Fringe Festival, along with MANY other exciting activities to be held downtown. This enewsletter will try to keep you abreast of all the fun and exciting news and events happening in Downtown Greensboro as well as inform you of downtown’s progress, new business, road closings and/or adverse conditions.  

 

If you would like to inform us of any downtown news to post, please submit to info@downtowngreensboro.net. Please note DGI may be limited and or may not be able to post all news and events.

 

Are you a Downtown Business? If you are a downtown business and have not had the opportunity to submit your information for DGI’s FREE listing on our interactive map and directory, please do so at your earliest convenience.  You have numerous ways to submit:

 

1.       Submit electronically online.

 

2.       Download and/or print form (in pdf) and fill out and submit back to DGI by mail or fax via front page of our website.

 

3.       Call or email to request a form to be mailed to you at 379-0060 x-28,  email.

Noises Off! / Greensboro Fringe Festival

 

Triad Stage starts the New Year off presenting Noises Off!, A delirious backstage romp. Traditional British farce meets Monty Python in this award-winning smash hit, one of the most successful comedies of all time. Opened January 25 and run thru February 18, showtime varies. Check availability and get your tickets at Triad Stage online or contact box office at 336-272-0160  Admission: $12-$38

 

Greensboro Fringe Festival: Is proud to invite all Greensboro to its 5th Anniversary Festival, starts January 25 and will run thru February 11 with a show every night, two different shows on weekends, and matinee every Sunday.  You may see the next NC Baryshnikov or an ancient myth told by actors in full body paint.  To get more details take a look online. Tickets $7-10

 

Antiques and Art on Elm: Is scheduled for Saturday May 19 along with the N.C. Storytelling Festival.  If you are an antique or art vendor that would like to participate in this event, please go to our website and download an application.

 

Deadlines to turn in application are:

·    Antique - April 1, 2007
