Mark your calendar! If you are a downtown property or business owner within the central business district, mark your calendar for the third annual DGI Report to the Community to be held at the Empire Room on Thursday, September 20 at 8:30am. Downtown Greensboro Inc. will update on Center City milestones, the Business Improvement District (BID), economic development, upcoming projects, and what to expect in the coming year. Special Guest and keynote speaker Mr. Troy Russ, Principal and Senior Urban Designer with Orlando based community planning and design firm Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin, Inc. Mr. Russ has been instrumental as the lead force within the urban design world cultivating downtown Orlando’s Master Plan. photos courtesy of http://www.saltimbancobus.com/greensboro/ Be on the LOOKOUT, Cirque du Soleil Satimbanco Bus is heading to Center City Greensboro, a troupe of traveling street performers is traveling the country to announce upcoming Saltimbanco tour a week prior to Premiere at the Greensboro Coliseum on September 19 thru 23. Stilt walkers, jugglers, mimes will be playing and clowning the hearts of Greensboro, the bus will be traveling thru North Carolina and visiting Greensboro. 
Saltimbanco, a signature Cirque du Soleil show that borrows from theatre, dance and music with spectacular costumes, lighting and make-up. A fun premiere and show for the whole family and all ages to enjoy! See a mini street performance and win some promotional items at Center City Park.

| Keeping it Clean | Urban Pooches – Downtown is encountering an increasing number of canines along with the urban residential growth. Dog owners may notice a welcome and practical tool in pet waste dispension designed to motivate them to pick up after their pet on their next stroll thru downtown. The Clean and Green Team recently installed DOGIPOT’S stations at select locations downtown. Center City Park also has a station. For a map of locations click here. Please help keep downtown clean. |
