33RD Annual Fun Fourth Festival festivities will be held in downtown Greensboro.

 

Saturday, June 30 FREEDOM RUN & WALK 8:00-11:00am to start and end at Marriot downtown at 301 N. Greene Street. Great event for tots, kids, teens, and adults. Family rates. Registration at 6:30-7:30am.  Read more

 

Sunday, July 1 HERITAGE DAY AT BLANDWOOD, 1:00-6:00pm.  Step back to the nineteenth century on the lawn at Blandwood Mansion with free tours of Mansion, heritage crafts and demonstrations.  Live entertainment with The Backporch Stage on the back lawn and the Carriage House Stage will feature bagpipes, bluegrass, traditional, folk and Old Tyme Music.  Historical reenactment encampment on front lawn. Tuesday, July 3 BLOCK PARTY at Summit and Church Streets 8:00pm-12:00pm. with live entertainment of Phase Band-Motown and Part Time Party Time Band.

 

 

Wednesday, July 4 PARADE and Street Festival in Cultural Arts District. Parade starts at 9:30am, click here for map of parade route.

 

Wednesday, July 4 Parade and STREET FESTIVAL in Cultural Arts District 10:00am to 6:00pm. Children’s village, amusement rides, craft scene, cool midst tunnel, international hands on village, and a variety of musical entertainment at SEVEN different stages throughout festival. Wednesday, July 4  Fireworks at Grimsley High School (near downtown) 7:30-10:00pm featuring the Greensboro Philharmonic, 1812 overture, patriotic music with fireworks at 9:30pm.

GDOT, The City of Greensboro and DGI would like to inform you of the following:

 

Streets in the Cultural Arts District will be CLOSED for the Fun Fourth Festival as follows:

 

·    July 3 for Block Party and Street Festival Set-up.

·    July 4 for Parade and Street Festival

All Streets will be reopened by 2am on Thursday, July 5th.
