Living Legend Mickey Rooney at The Historic Carolina Theatre 80th Anniversary Saturday, March 8, 2008, 8:00pm On Saturday, March 8th at 8pm, the celebrated Mickey Rooney: actor, writer, producer, director and composer will give a very special performance as part of the Carolina Theatre's 80th Anniversary Season - and in celebration of his 85th year in show business! The film legend and star of hundreds of movies will tell tales of life on the set in the world of classic Hollywood and include movie clips from his immense film career and, of course, the most celebrated leading ladies in his life. Accompanied by his wife, Jan Chamberlin Rooney, Mickey will sing, dance and share this memorable special evening with you. Doors will open at 7:30pm. Tickets are $40, $30, and $25, depending on location. A $1.50 Restoration Fee is added to the price of each ticket.
Two premier packages are available for the evening. Producers Cocktail Party: 6:00-7:30pm, includes an appearance by Mickey and Jan Rooney, heavy hors D’ouevres, open bar/cocktails, live jazz trio music, commemorative gift, champagne toast, and premium seats to "Let's Put on a Show!.” Tickets $125/person Celebrate the Carolina Party!: 6:30-7:30pm, includes pre-show hors D’ouevres, cocktails, and the stage show.
