Mile of Pennies – Follow Lincoln’s Trail, third annual official Mile of Pennies event will be held on Saturday, May 31 at Sanctuary House. The first penny will be put down in front of Sanctuary House (518 N. Elm Street), at 9:00am and during the day a mile of pennies will be laid on Elm Street, with entertainment and events throughout the day, moonwalk, face painting, and games for the kids, and chair massages provided by The Jewel Day Spa for weary ‘penny pushing’ adults. Lunch will begin at Greensboro Children’s Museum 9th Birthday Celebration Luau Wow! Come celebrate GCM’s birthday Luau style with fun party music, special craft activities for the kids, costumed characters, face-painters, food and a special birthday cake to celebrate the Museum’s 9th birthday.
