First Friday is an exciting evening escape in the heart of Greensboro. Join in First Friday of each month in 2009 for a fun-filled exploration of Greensboro's creative Downtown. This event will feature new and original art and crafts, artist “meet and greets,” participatory workshops, and Around Downtown in 80 Minutes, a fast-paced scavenger hunt around Downtown. The event is FREE and open to the public where shops and venues stay open from 6:00-9:00pm. Embodiment Exhibition | ongoing - 3/26/2010 Green Hill Center for NC Art, located in the Greensboro Cultural Center invites you to the Embodiment exhibition. The featured North Carolina artists offer a wide range of approaches to the visual representation of the body. Through arresting multimedia installations, photographs, and sculptural works in clay, fiber and metal, visitors will be able to explore changing conceptions of the body, and how a sensorial experience informs a psychological state. If you thought playing dodgeball was fun in 4th grade wait until you try it as a grown-up. Interest and sign up meeting on Tuesday, March 9 from 6-8pm at the Green Bean.
