NEW LOADING ZONES in Effect Law establishes two new loading zones

Effective Monday, January 26, the Greensboro Police Department started enforcing new loading zone regulations. Changes includes two types of loading zones:

1.      a 60-minute zone for commercial trucks only weighing 15,000 pounds or more, and

2.      a 30-minute zone for any vehicles that is loading and unloading

The changes are designed to provide parking for large commercial delivery trucks to prevent them from parking in the middle of the streets, causing safety and traffic hazards. Violators will have their vehicles ticketed or towed at their expense.
