Downtown Greensboro Inc. Launches Downtown Branding Campaign Downtown Greensboro Incorporated (DGI) announces the launch of a Downtown visual branding campaign designed to capture the dynamic and active atmosphere that has flourished in the center city over the last decade. The campaign is anchored by a new logo that represents activities unique to the center city. The logo is a playful display of diverse downtown landmarks including a nod to the community’s railroad past and the area’s historic buildings that are home to almost 100 locally owned shops, salons and restaurants. The logo also references the nationally recognized fountain at Center City Park and NewBridge Bank Park. The tall office towers represent the skyline and Downtown’s position as the largest employment center in the region. The logo and accompanying graphics will be the anchor of a year long, print campaign. The image building campaign will invite Greensboro residents and out-of-town visitor to shop, dine and explore Downtown’s 72 retail shops, 45+ restaurants, dozens of cultural and sporting events and showcase the center city as a region-wide, premier destination location. |

Allegorical Realism opening reception will be held Friday, 9/12 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art . This fall exhibition, highlights the work of four North Carolina painters: Virginia Derryberry, Henryk Fantazos, Jack Ketner, and Mark Kingsley. Their works suggest enigmatic narratives that expand beyond the borders of the canvas and encourage viewers to engage in creative interpretation.
