DRAFT - Downtown Design Manual: Downtown Greensboro is changing. In the past few years, new interest and development in Downtown has blossomed, creating an exciting buzz for the center city throughout Guilford County and the entire State. With increased interest in the center city by residents, property and business owners and developers, civic leaders are poised to encourage new development that celebrates and honors Downtown Greensboro’s unique character and urban setting. Working with stakeholders and the public, Downtown Greensboro Incorporated, the City of Greensboro, Action Greensboro and other groups have crafted a Downtown Design Manual to provide a flexible framework to promote quality design, enhance our urban character and maintain long-term compatibility. The manual is also intended to help create a predictable investment climate in Downtown for new investors and existing business and property owners. To view design manual, click here. |

With funding from Moses Cone - Wesley Long Community Health Foundation, Cooper Cary, Center for Connective Architecture is currently working on initial schematic design.
